>Struggling with Injury

>I have now been off fell running for nearly 3 weeks. Yet another knee injury has surfaced but this time it feels a bit more serious! This is real blow. The dark months of early new year were to be a key part of my early BG training, allowing me to hit the ground running when the days started to lengthen.

As such any hope of completing a sub 21hr Bob Graham Round, or indeed any BG Round this summer now looks like a distant dream. I just hope that I can resume training soon enough for it not to impact too heavily on my mountain marathon plans for this year.

A trip to the Sports Injuries Clinic in Kendal has given some hope, with a diagnosis of nothing catastrophically wrong but simply a strained tendon. I was told to rest, which due mostly to work commitments I have managed to completely ignore and its now more painful than ever. Hopefully some rest over the next 10 days or so and some magic gel may do the trick.
