>Green Light to Go!

>After nearly 7 weeks without doing any running whatsoever I have finally been given the Green Light by the Physio to start some running again! It may not be any marathon distance to start with, and it might be slightly painful, but its a start at least. Only 8 weeks until the 3 Peaks fell race and 12 weeks to go until the LAMM…

It was a quiet weekend, the mild weather and melt of lying snow continues.

On Sunday I headed around to Low Hartsop in Patterdale for a jaunt over the Eastern fells with my father.

Wandered up into Threshthwaite Cove, a delightful little valley, which, with the snow clinging to the tops had a very Scottish feel before heading upto Thornthwaite Crag and wandering over Ill Bell, Froswick and Yoke and dropping down to Kentmere. It was certainly busy on the tops, the throng of Half term visitors ensuring High Street was living up to its name.

Its a lot less wintry than a week ago, the temperature has been insanely high for the middle of February this week and although there has been a colossal melt this past 7 days, there are still some sizeable snow fields clinging on, particularly around Dollywagon Pike and Helvellyn.

Still got some slight discomfort in my knee, even from walking and not sure how I can contemplate fell running at the moment but hopefully we can at least start working in the right direction.
